BMW 3: Theater mode and
Individual Entertainment
General information
A selected entertainment source can be played
back in the rear via:
- Individual Entertainment.
- Theater mode.
Individual Entertainment
Regardless of the active entertainment source in
front, a separate entertainment source can be
played in the rear.
When Individual Entertainment has been selected,
the sound of the selected entertainment
source is output via headphones.
Theater mode
The Theater mode describes the playback of a
selected entertainment source in the vehicle:
- The selected entertainment source is played
in the front and rear.
- The sound of a selected entertainment
source is played back through the vehicle
loudspeakers only.
- The Theater mode can be activated in front
and rear when the rear operation is enabled.
- When the Theater mode is starting, the adjusted
volume in front will be adopted.
- The volume can be adjusted in front and, with
enabled rear operation, in the rear.
Sharing entertainment
source with rear
The active entertainment source in front can be
shared with the screens in the rear.
After an entertainment source has been shared,
the entertainment source can be controlled separately
in the rear via the operating points.

4. Select the desired screen or both screens in
the rear.
5. Depending on the setting
accept or reject the entertainment source in
the rear.
